Follow letters or follow meanings
Five Letter Garden uses a hidden five-letter answer and position feedback. Word Links works differently: sixteen visible words belong to four hidden categories. A word that is useful in one game can be misleading in the other. Choose guessing if you enjoy narrowing letters; choose connections if you enjoy finding a shared idea among familiar words.
Try a route between words
Word Ladder changes one letter at a time while preserving all four positions. Its visible practice dictionary defines which intermediate steps are accepted. You can follow a tested example route or explore another branch, and a route hint searches from your current word rather than silently moving you back to the start.
Let a crossing help you
Crossword Seeds offers twelve original themed mini grids with three across clues and one down clue. A shared letter supports two answers, making the puzzle more than a set of isolated trivia questions. Check letters marks incorrect entries without filling blanks. Letter hints are optional and their use is recorded.
Read the vocabulary boundary
A compact original practice may use a curated list instead of a full English dictionary. The player tells you when that applies, and rejected input should not cost a guess. This keeps the rule understandable while leaving room for a wider word-bank edition later. These original games do not import another publisher’s daily puzzles, results or account streaks.
Before you choose
Is Five Letter Garden the official Wordle?
No. It is an independent practice with its own answer order and a disclosed curated vocabulary.
Can I play word games with the keyboard?
Yes. Guessing and word ladders use text inputs, crosswords use letter fields, and word-group buttons can be activated with Tab and Enter.
Are the mini crosswords original?
Yes. Crossword Seeds uses independently written clues and twelve assembled themed grids, rather than a publisher’s daily feed.
