COUNT THE CONNECTIONS

Meet each number.
Connect the whole map.

  1. Connect neighboring islands horizontally or vertically. Each pair can have at most two bridges, and bridges cannot cross.
  2. Satisfy every island’s required number of bridges. In this edition the displayed count decreases toward zero as you add connections.
  3. Keep every island in one connected network. Finishing the local counts while leaving an isolated group does not solve the map.

Desktop controls

Click the gap between neighboring islands, or drag from one island toward another. Repeat the same connection to add a second bridge; a third click removes it. Right-click a connection to remove it.

Phone or tablet

Tap a gap or swipe between neighboring islands. A long press removes a connection. Full screen expands the board and keeps the Joywisp return and stop controls above it.

Bridge moves use the pointer. The Joywisp toolbar is reachable with Tab. Stop game unloads the player and returns focus to Play.

READ THE SHORELINE

Start where an island has the fewest neighbors.

An island near an edge may have only one useful direction. Count its available neighbors and remember that each connection holds at most two bridges. Leave room for the whole network: a small closed group can satisfy its own numbers while stranding the rest of the map.

A NETWORK OF SMALL DECISIONS

The numbers are a live progress check.

The opening board has four islands. Three real gap clicks connected them into one chain, reduced their remaining counts to zero and produced the Level complete screen. Larger boards ask the same two questions: does each island have enough bridges, and can you travel through the network to every island? The harbor illustration is an original editorial map, rather than a solution.

Before building a bridge

Why did an island’s number change?

The displayed number tracks its remaining bridge requirement. A successful connection lowers it; zero means that island has enough bridges.

How do I make a double bridge?

Choose the same pair again. One bridge becomes two; choosing that pair a third time removes the connection.

Can I connect diagonally?

No. Connections run horizontally or vertically between neighboring islands and cannot pass through another bridge.

What if the counts are finished but the level is not?

Check that the islands form one connected network. Also inspect any remaining nonzero counts. You can remove a connection and rebuild it without reopening the player.
