THE OFFICIAL GAME

Dotty

The road moves forward. Your next shape makes the opening.

FOUR DIRECTIONS. ONE OPENING.

Read the silhouette.
Swipe before the wall.

  1. The character moves along the track. Read the cutout in the approaching barrier.
  2. Swipe in one of four directions to change shape. Learn the direction-to-shape mapping from the opening tutorial prompts.
  3. Match your shape to the next opening before reaching it. Keep watching the track ahead as the next barrier comes into view.

Desktop controls

Click and drag in a direction inside the game. The opening tutorial uses a hand gesture to teach the four-direction shape changes. A native rightward drag visibly changed the character into a star in the checked player.

Phone or tablet

Swipe up, down, left or right to change shape. Follow the opening gesture prompts, then read the next barrier. Full screen gives the track more space while keeping Return to page and Stop game visible.

This page does not assume Arrow keys work in the game. Use the swipe or pointer gesture. Tab reaches the Joywisp toolbar, and Stop game closes the external player.

LOOK AHEAD ON THE TRACK

Look at the next cutout, rather than your last change.

After choosing a shape, move your attention up the track. Identify the next silhouette early, then make one deliberate gesture. During the tutorial, follow each hand prompt so that the four directions become familiar before you try to react quickly.

A BRIGHT LITTLE REACTION GAME

A runner built around silhouettes.

The checked edition uses a rainbow road, a changing three-dimensional character and walls with shaped openings. Its first load includes a Unity loading step, so the road may take longer to appear than a small board game. The cover here is an original illustration of that idea; it does not reproduce the publisher’s art or show a guaranteed route.

At the next opening

Why is a hand pointing at the track?

It is a tutorial gesture prompt. Swipe in the indicated direction inside the game to learn a shape change.

Does the character move forward by itself?

Yes. Your main input is the direction of the shape-changing gesture, rather than steering the character along the road.

Can I play with a mouse?

A click-and-drag gesture worked in the checked player and visibly changed the character. Keep the drag inside the game area.

What if the rainbow road has not loaded?

The official player has its own Start step and Unity loader. If loading stops progressing, use Retry or Stop game. Joywisp does not treat a loader as proof of a playable level.
