YOUR NEXT THREENo clearing streak yet

Choose a shape, then a square for its top-left position.

This tab keeps your board. Your best stays on this device.

01 / ROOM FOR A SHAPE

Every square counts.

Each shape must fit completely inside the board without covering an occupied square. A rejected placement changes nothing. Shapes cannot be rotated. There is no clock and no falling piece.

02 / A CLEAN LINE

Rows. Columns. Both.

Full rows and columns clear at the same time. Each placed square earns one point; each cleared line earns 10 times your current clearing streak. A placement without a clear resets that streak.

03 / TRY ANOTHER WAY

A small second chance.

Undo restores the board, score, streak and tray before your last placement, including a newly dealt tray. Your historical best stays. Refresh restores this tab; closing the tab ends the board session.

Block puzzle strategy

Plan the whole three-piece tray

Block Grove is an untimed block puzzle, so consider all three shapes before placing the first. A small piece can repair a nearly complete line, while a larger one may need an open corner. There is no rotation control: inspect the shape’s actual orientation rather than imagining a different one. The next random tray arrives only when every current piece has been placed.

Keep an exit for the largest shape

An isolated empty square is useful for a single seed but cannot accept a two-by-two square. Try to preserve a few connected patches, not just a high total number of empty cells. The game ends only when no remaining shape fits anywhere, so a placement that opens a lane can keep a round alive.

Read a crossing clear accurately

Rows and columns clear simultaneously. If a single new square completes one row and one column, those are two scored lines even though their intersection is removed once. That single-square turn earns 1 placement point plus 20 line points on a streak of one. A following nonclearing placement resets the clearing streak.

Questions before your next round

Is Block Grove the official Block Blast?

No. Block Grove has original Joywisp code, artwork, random trays and scoring. It is an independent game in the block-placement genre, with no publisher player or account connected.

Can I rotate or drag the pieces?

This edition uses fixed orientations. Choose a tray piece, then tap or click its top-left bounding-box position. Pointer and keyboard focus provide a placement preview.

How does the score work?

Each placed square earns one point. Each completed line earns ten times the current consecutive-clearing streak. Rows and columns count separately; overlapping cleared cells are removed once.

Does Undo restore a new tray?

Yes. Undo restores the board, score, streak and tray from before the last accepted placement, including the tray that was replaced after its third piece. The historical best remains.
