Dressmaker: choose your version
Looking for the sewing game by Cozy Lives? Start by choosing the version. The creator’s itch.io page links directly to the Steam full release, so these are two stages of the same project.
This is an independent reading guide. Dressmaker runs outside Joywisp; we have not installed or playtested either version.

The creator still lists Prototype 0.5.5 downloads for Windows, macOS and Linux, with name-your-own-price access. The page explicitly directs players to Steam for the full game.

Steam lists Windows 10 or later, an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen processor, 8 GB RAM, Intel UHD 630 graphics or better, DirectX 11 and 2 GB storage. Its Mac minimum lists Apple M1, 8 GB RAM and 1 GB storage. These are the full game’s requirements, not a performance guarantee.
The Linux download on itch.io is labelled as the prototype. It does not establish Linux support for the full Steam game. Neither reviewed listing provides an official browser or mobile build.

What you make in the workshop
The publisher describes commissions from townsfolk with different tastes and occasions. You select materials such as cotton, linen, wool, silk or velvet, then plan colours and samples in a sketchbook.
Pattern pieces are arranged and cut, checked on a mannequin and sewn into a dress. Completed commissions earn reputation and in-game coin. The publisher says no prior dressmaking knowledge is required.

Keep prototype help separate
Before following troubleshooting advice, check whether you launched the Steam release or a file named Dressmaker Prototype 0.5.5. Include that version and your operating system when reporting a problem.
The creator warns that the Mac prototype is not notarized. That statement concerns the prototype download; it is not evidence about the separate Steam build. We have not verified save transfer or compatibility between the two versions.

Is the itch.io download the full Steam game?
No. The creator labels those files as Prototype 0.5.5 and links separately to the full Steam release. Name-your-own-price access to the prototype should not be read as a Steam purchase.
Can I play Dressmaker here?
