How to play

  1. Swipe or drag left twice from the title to reach the first puzzle.
  2. Tap X tiles to remove them. Arrow tiles push a line in their direction; move squares into black holes to clear the board within the move limit.
  3. Swipe right to reset after a move, or return to the previous puzzle before moving. Swipe left to skip. The progress dots jump between puzzles.

Controls & screen size

Use a mouse or a finger to tap tiles and swipe left or right. This original game requires pointer controls; keyboard-only play is not supported.

A little tip

Start with the arrows nearest a black hole and watch which direction the whole line moves.

Creator, source & licence

Black Hole Square is by Quinten Clause, hosted here under the MIT licence. It is a third-party open-source game, adapted for Joywisp; it is not a Joywisp original or an endorsed partnership.

Joywisp uses native JavaScript modules, isolates and validates saved progress, and adjusts pointer cancellation and board-edge input. The original 15 free puzzles remain. Payment prompts, bonus puzzles, offline caching and raster icons are omitted. The title uses a system font.

Your game data

The current puzzle and completed puzzles are saved in this browser under joywisp.opensource.black-hole-square. Restart player reloads the saved puzzle; a rightward swipe resets a puzzle after a move. Clearing this site's browser data removes saved progress.
