Your museum has a reach

You are the curator of the Omega Conservatory. Its reach is a telescopic hand that extends into the past, searching galaxies, stars, planets and moons for instruments. The creator presents this as both a point-and-click museum simulator and a dungeon crawler. Think of the journey as an expedition for something you can bring home: each instrument becomes part of the gallery you are curating.

An exhibit can become a sound

The creator says the gathered instruments can be played freely in your gallery. That makes choosing an exhibit a musical decision as well as a collecting decision. A useful way to approach the premise is to think about what you want to hear from your museum, then explore what the instruments offer. Returning to the collection gives the finds a purpose beyond display: they are things to play and listen to.

Keep it, or see what the shop offers

Instruments can also be traded for the shopkeeper's offerings. Keeping one preserves something to play in the gallery; trading one opens a different possibility. Read the exchange information in the actual game before making that choice. Compare the instrument you already have with the offer in front of you: what would you like to keep hearing, and what are you curious to bring into the collection next?

Set up a way to explore and listen

The creator recommends a gamepad and headphones and points players to an online manual. Keyboard, mouse, touchscreen and MIDI controller also appear in the input metadata. Color-blind, high-contrast, blind-friendly and interactive-tutorial features are creator-listed, rather than independently tested here. Start with the manual on the official page to find the controls and requirements for your chosen setup.
