What to expect
- Objective
- Cause household mischief and see its itemized damage total when the afternoon ends.
- Ending condition
- The creator lists Nap as the action to end the afternoon; a caught cat is returned to the sofa.
- Creator-listed input
- WASD or arrows, Space, E, drag to look and N to nap; the creator also lists phone controls.
Choose what to disturb
The creator describes small breakables such as mugs and vases alongside longer chains: pull a tablecloth, topple a bookshelf, send a plant into a robot vacuum's path, or drag toilet paper through rooms. The owner can catch the cat and put it back on the sofa. The reviewed description does not say whether that resets damage, so the value of each risk remains a gameplay question.
Read the score as a damage report
Ending the afternoon leads to a fridge note listing broken things, paw prints, toilet-paper distance and a total, according to the creator. It also describes a before-and-after card and three cat choices, including a customizable cat. The house is said to change each afternoon. Joywisp has not verified scoring, randomization or how long a run takes in this early version.
How to choose
The creator lists WASD or arrows to move, Space to jump, E to paw, dragging to look around, and N to nap and end the afternoon. It also mentions a phone joystick and on-screen Jump, Paw and Nap controls; Joywisp has not tested them. Choose The Cat Did It for a playful, bounded afternoon with a visible damage tally. Fettle, another source-reviewed simulation, instead asks you to appraise and repair uncertain shop inventory. The two descriptions offer different kinds of consequence; Joywisp has not compared them by playing.
