ISLAND MANAGEMENT / CHOOSE A GOOD NEIGHBOUR

Idle Island

Coconuts begin the little island economy. Animal helpers keep it growing, while each building asks you to look at what stands nearby.

From one coconut to a working island

The creator starts with a shipwreck and a coconut-eating monkey, then describes recruiting monkeys, crabs, pelicans and mountain goats. Read a helper's in-game description before buying it: what does it contribute to the island you already have? Comparing its role with your current needs is a useful first decision. The source does not give exact helper costs or production rates, so this guide leaves those comparisons to the prototype's own numbers.

A building's neighbours matter

Huts, sawmills, docks and quarries are among the creator-listed buildings. Nearby trees, rocks and palms can boost them, which makes placement part of the management problem. Before choosing a site, look at the local terrain and the bonus information the game provides. Ask which plot supports the building you want to add. The illustration explains this relationship; it does not prescribe a tested arrangement, specific multiplier or universal bonus for every building.

Look beyond the next purchase

The creator describes five zones hidden beneath clouds, reaching from jungle areas toward the Heart of the Island. Exploration also brings washed-up bottles with a captain's journal and lost cats to watch for. That gives a growing island two reasons to keep looking outward: new places for the economy, and fragments of a story. Storms, hungry boars and fishing are also listed; their exact triggers and the order of unlocks remain for players to discover.

Set up a return visit

Progress while away is a creator claim, rather than a recovery test by Joywisp. Before leaving a session, read any progress or save information the prototype itself provides; this guide does not promise how a later browser visit will behave. English and Spanish are selected through Map → Settings. Treat this as an early prototype by Cosmos07, with room for balancing changes, rather than relying on a fixed long-term production plan.
