Start with the article's claim

The residents of Shrim bring you articles they are unsure how to trust. The creator describes checking an article in each level, using tools and a checklist before making a decision. A useful first reading is to write down the claim the article actually makes: who did what, and what would count as supporting evidence? This is a way to organize your investigation, rather than an answer to any of the game's cases.

Ask different tools different questions

The creator lists web search, reverse image search, source links and an AI checker. Treat them as different lines of inquiry. Search can help you compare accounts; an image check prompts questions about context; source links invite you to follow a statement back to its origin. These are suggested questions to bring to the game's tools, not tested descriptions of their exact outputs. One tool's result should give you something to examine, rather than end the investigation on its own.

Separate a warning sign from a conclusion

The in-game checklist helps you look for signs of unreliable news. As a reading habit, keep two notes: what you observed, and what you think it means. An alarming headline might be a reason to investigate more carefully, while the underlying claim still needs evidence. Before making your final decision, ask which observations actually support it and which only raised suspicion. The guide deliberately leaves case solutions for you to discover.

Choose a reading setup

This is a point-and-click educational game with English and German listed by the creator. The concept and first level originated in the Digiwise GameJam organized by Spiellabor e.V. in Leipzig. You can visit the official browser player or review its Windows download instructions. Allow time to read and compare evidence; keeping notes is optional. Joywisp's diagram is a separate reading aid, and does not reproduce the game's interface or certify its classroom suitability.
