Read an item as part of a chain

BloodBuild's central question is how your collection works together. The creator describes collecting items during a run, then arranging them so that their effects amplify one another. When comparing an item, look beyond its individual appeal: what can it support, and which existing effects could support it? That is a useful reading approach, rather than a tested best build.

Let a skill change your plan

The creator distinguishes carried skills from the collected items: a skill can change the rules of the entire build. A useful question when reading a new skill is whether it reinforces the connections you already have or gives you a reason to rearrange them. Revisit familiar items under that new rule. The interesting choice is what the collection can become together, rather than simply adding another attractive item.

A boss asks whether the build still works

Bosses are described as challenges to the approach that has carried your run so far. Before a fight, read the boss information the demo provides and compare it with the assumptions your build depends on. One useful question is which connection would be most costly to lose. That turns the same collection into a planning problem: you are considering how it holds together under pressure, as well as how its effects amplify each other.

Choose the demo you want to try

The creator offers browser play and a Windows download. For Windows, the official instructions say to extract the entire archive and run the executable from that extracted folder with its companion files. The creator also describes automatic progress saving. Read the current instructions on the project page before choosing a build; installation, saved-run recovery and browser behavior have not been tested by Joywisp.
